About us

Welcome to Parfitt Podiatry

Dr Patsy Parfitt, PhD, MSc, MPodA, HCPC – Clinical Director

Patsy, our lead Podiatrist, has worked in England, Australia and America. She currently works with her Associates in Elstree/Borehamwood and St. Albans.

Patsy works closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Paediatricians and Physiotherapists who refer to Patsy to treat the foot and leg and improve alignment.

She specialises in Biomechanics (looking at the joints and how the muscles work), and Gait Analysis  (studying how the patient walks and the problems caused to the knees and back).

She is a Podo-Paediatric specialist who advises that children who are flat footed or pigeon toed can be treated well within a few years with orthotics and exercises which helps save them from long term upper body posture problems.  Lower limb problems greatly contribute to poor upper body posture often leading to back and neck problems.
